MEDAN - North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra confirmed that his staff would immediately identify a suspect in the case of the death of the caged occupants in the inactive area of the Langkat Regent's private house.

"God willing, in the near future, investigators will determine who the suspect can be," said Inspector General Panca in Medan, Tuesday, March 8.

With the status of the case rising to investigation, the North Sumatra Police are collecting evidence related to potential suspects.

"The investigation is part of the steps that must be taken to find and establish all the evidence in time for the determination of the suspect," he said.

In handling the case, Inspector General Panca asked all parties to see it in its entirety.

"Whole view of all aspects, from the process how and who is responsible there," he said.

However, when asked about the involvement of Polri members in the case, Inspector General Panca did not explain in detail.

"If it's talking to Tatan (Dirkrimum)," he concluded.

Regarding the alleged involvement of members of the Police in the case, the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi said that his party had examined a number of people.

"Propam and Ditreskrimum Polda North Sumatra have followed up by examining several members of the police and have been questioned," said Kombes Hadi to reporters, Monday, March 7.

Kombes Hadi said that until now his party is still investigating the alleged involvement of members and is waiting for the official recommendation given by Komnas HAM.

"Because Komnas HAM released the information they received at the end of the investigation," he said.

He emphasized that the North Sumatran Police would not hesitate to take action against their members if they were proven to be directly involved with Terbit Plan's human cage.

"If there are members of the National Police involved, Mr. Kapolda will not hesitate to carry out legal processes and take action," said Kombes Hadi.
