Central Sulawesi Governor Extends Level Three PPKM One Week

PALU - Central Sulawesi Governor, Rusdy Mastura, stated that the Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in all districts/cities in the area were extended until March 14, 2022.

"The area determined by PPKM Level 3 in Central Sulawesi must implement, among other things, first, learning is done through limited face-to-face learning or distance learning", said Rusdy in Palu, Tuesday, March 8.

Second, the implementation of activities in the non-essential sector is enforced by 50 percent of the maximum staff working from the office or Work From Office (WFO) by implementing a strict health protocol, but if a cluster of COVID-19 spreads is found, the sector concerned will be closed for 5 days.

Third, the implementation of activities in essential sectors which are designated as national vital objects as well as certain objects, places that provide daily needs related to the basic needs of the community, both those located in separate locations and those located in shopping centers can still operate 100 percent with more stringent regulation of operating hours, capacity and implementation of procedures.

"Fourth, industrial activities can operate 100 percent with stricter implementation of health protocols, but if a cluster of COVID-19 spreads is found, the industry will be closed for five days", he was quoted as saying.

Fifth, Rusdy explained, traditional markets, flea, poultry, wet and batik, street vendors, grocery stores, voucher agents or outlets, barbershops, hawkers, small workshops, vehicle washrooms, and the like are allowed to remain open by implementing strict procedures, the technical arrangements of which are regulated by the local government.

"Sixth, the implementation of eating and drinking in public places, including in stalls, street vendors, hawker stalls and the like are allowed to open with strict procedures", he explained.

Then, said Rusdy, the implementation of eating and drinking in restaurants or restaurants and cafes on a small, medium or large, both those located in separate locations or located in shopping centers, can serve meals in places that are limited to 21.00 local time with a capacity of 50 percent of visitors, two people per table.
