West Java Police Boosts Achievement Of COVID-19 Vaccination In Garut

GARUT - The West Java Police are trying to boost the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination doses 2 and 3 or boosters in Garut Regency to maintain public health in preventing and ending the pandemic.

"We also ask for input from each region regarding the efforts made to pursue vaccine targets, especially doses 2 and 3, which on average in almost all regions have not yet reached the target," said West Java Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Bariza Sulfi while reviewing the Vaccination Festival at the Garut Hall. quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 5th.

Bariza Sulfi together with the Garut Police and elements of the regional leadership of Garut Regency visited the community who were vaccinating dose 1 to dose 3 targeting children to the elderly.

West Java Deputy Police Chief said the visit to the vaccination center was to find out the progress of vaccination achievements in the area, especially Garut Regency.

"This visit is in order to directly monitor the progress of vaccination achievements in each region in West Java, both for doses 1, 2 and 'booster' or dose 3," he said.

Meanwhile, Garut Police Chief AKBP Wirdhanto Hadicaksono added that his party together with the Garut Regency COVID-19 Task Force team continue to strive to improve vaccination achievements, one of which is by coming directly to the community.

Efforts to encourage people to want to be vaccinated, he said, include preparing assistance in the form of cooking oil, rice, and a number of other basic needs.

"The point of this vaccination is for health, because we are still a pandemic and then our positive number is still quite high, so to avoid fatalities," he said.

Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan stated that he had prepared health workers from the local Health Office to accelerate the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination, especially dose 2 in various regions.

He conveyed that the achievement of vaccination for dose 1 was almost complete, then dose 2 was still below 70 percent.

"We will continue to do it, our vaccination is at (below) 70 percent dose 2, we are about to run out of dose 1," said Rudy.
