MEDAN - A number of videos circulated about the perpetrators of buying pulses but immediately running away on motorbikes in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The incident, which has gone viral on social media, is being investigated by the police.

In the video, a man wearing a helmet is seen allegedly buying credit. Meanwhile, another man was sitting on his motorbike.

Then, a veiled woman came to serve the man. After the woman finished sending the credit to her cellphone number, the man immediately walked towards his colleague who was ready on a motorbike.

When the man fled, the woman was shocked and hysterical. In the video narration, it is explained that the man initially bought credit for Rp. 200 thousand.

"It's viral to buy credit for Rp. 200,000, then step on the gas immediately," the video narration said.

The video also received hundreds of comments from netizens. Not a few netizens suspected that the man was desperate to steal credit for online game gambling.

"It's definitely been sold again to buy methamphetamine or play scatter slots," wrote the @jagat_pramudia account.

"Want to exchange it for the domino chip," wrote the account @ahmadtahirsinaga.

Separately, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Medan Police, Kompol M Firdaus said that his party would check this.
