BANDARLAMPUNG - The manager of Bakauheni Port, Lampung has started implementing e-HAC as one of the requirements for sea travel users in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

"This Electronic Health Alert Card (e-HAC) is one of the requirements for sea transportation users along with the PeduliLindung application," said General Manager (GM) of PT ASDP Bakauheni Branch, Solikin, quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 3.

He said e-HAC had been implemented for a long time by port managers as a health screening facility for passengers.

"E-HAC has been implemented for executive and regular service terminals," he said.

Solikin explained that in its implementation, it is undeniable that there are several obstacles, one of which is that not all passengers understand the implementation of e-HAC.

"Of course there are obstacles in the field, but the officers in the field have been assisted. And the e-HAC filling will be assisted by the Port Health Office officers," he said.

Solikin said the PeduliLindung application has been applied to sea transportation users.

"It has also been carried out for PeduliLindung for checking COVID-19 free test results, it is hoped that this can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 on sea transportation," he said.

The Ministry of Health has imposed a new rule regarding the obligation to fill in e-HAC for domestic travel via land, sea and air transportation, as a mandatory requirement for travel during the COVID-19 pandemic which is integrated in the PeduliLindung application which is active starting today.
