SEMARANG – People in Central Java now don't need to be afraid if they have problems with police officers. This is because the Central Java (Central Java) Police have opened services for the public to report police officers.

As conveyed by the Head of the Profession and Security Division (Bidpropam) of the Central Java Regional Police Kombes Pol Mukiya, the Complaint Service hotline was opened via telephone numbers and the WhatsApp application, to make it easier for Central Java people to report problems involving police officers.

Mukiya also said that Bidpropam had provided a Presisi Propam complaint service hotline by calling the telephone number and WhatsApp 0813-8663-3046, or number (024) 844-9329.

"This is to make it easier for the public to complain about rogue police officers or have problems getting police services," said Kombes Pol Mukiya, in a statement sent via text message, Wednesday, March 2.

Mukiya hopes that Central Java residents will not hesitate to use the complaint hotline number, if they know of alleged violations of discipline or code of ethics by members of the National Police, especially the Central Java Police.

Mukiya said that since January 2022, the community has responded well to the service.

"Until now, around 80 community members have contacted Bidpropam either by phone or WhatsApp chat. We will respond and follow up on everything," he said.

The majority of the community chats or telephone calls, most of them want to consult about how to complain to police officers who are suspected of committing violations.

Mukiya guarantees, at every consultation or community report that comes in, the identity of each reporter will be kept confidential. This is done as a form of commitment from the Central Java Regional Police Bidpropam to create precise Police personnel.

Not only that, the large number of people in Central Java who use social media makes Bidpropam also open a direct message (DM) service through official accounts from two major platforms, namely Instagram and Facebook.

"We also make it easier to report complaints through direct massage on the Instagram platform at @bidpropam_polda_jateng and on the Facebook platform at Bidpropam PoldaJateng," added Kabidpropam.

Previously, Bidpropam Polda Central Java has launched the Presisi Propam application which can be downloaded via the Playstore and Appstore. Through this application, the public can easily consult about complaints procedures or request information on the progress of handling complaints that have been reported.

As for the requirements in making a complaint, the complainant is asked to complete the requirements, namely: 1. Have a NIK according to KTP2. Reporter's face photo 3. Chronology4. Clear and valid evidence 5. witness witness

"For this reason, people, don't hesitate, don't be afraid, take advantage of the Bidpropam complaint hotline service. We guarantee the confidentiality of the complainant's identity. This is to realize a better National Police, especially the Central Java Police," said Mukiya.
