ACEH - A number of village officials in Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province until early March 2022 had returned findings of state financial losses to the local treasury of more than Rp. 1.09 billion.

"The findings returned are the results of a financial audit of village funds from the 2021 budget," said Secretary of the Inspectorate of Nagan Raya Regency Teuku Zeddy Surachman in Suka Makmue, Aceh Province, Antara, Wednesday, March 2.

Teuku Zeddy said the number of findings from the village fund audit in Nagan Raya Regency in the 2021 fiscal year was Rp. 1,147,798,695.00.

The village funds that have been followed up to be returned to the regional treasury, he said, amounted to Rp. 1,096,444,482.00.

"Until now, the total findings that are still being followed up to be returned are Rp51,354,213.00," Teuku Zeddy Surachman added.

He explained that the findings were based on the results of an audit conducted on the management of village funds, including administrative errors, the absence of evidence of legal financial expenditures, taxes that had not been deposited, and a number of other findings.

In order to avoid similar findings in the following year, the Inspectorate of Nagan Raya Regency appealed to all village officials to be able to manage village finances based on transparent, accountable, participatory principles, and their implementation in an orderly and budgetary discipline.
