JAKARTA - An unidentified man died when he was hit by an electric train (KRL) in Grinding, Cakung, East Jakarta. The victim died while crossing the railway line.

"According to the testimony of witnesses, the man crossed," said Cakung Police Chief Kompol Satria Darma when confirmed, Tuesday, March 1.

The KRL train came from the Jatinegara direction to the Klender Baru Station. Because he was not careful, the victim was hit and died on the spot.

Police are investigating and compiling the identity of the victim. Because, no identification card of the victim was found at the location.

"While still gathering information from witnesses," he said.

Kompol Satria said his staff also had difficulty estimating the age of the victim.

"The condition has been destroyed so it is difficult to identify its age," he said.
