SERANG - Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Serang City, Banten, noted that four of the six sub-districts in Serang City were affected by floods due to high rainfall.

Dwi Yanto explained that the Banten Police Satbrimob personnel and their staff had been alerted and deployed in accordance with the Banten Police Chief's instructions regarding disaster anticipation.

"According to the instructions of the Banten Police Chief, today the Banten Police Satbrimob personnel are helping the flood-affected people because previously we have carried out disaster preparedness, both equipment and personnel," he said.

In addition, dozens of personnel from the Ditpolairud Polda Banten evacuated flood victims at the Rahayu Residence Housing, Serang City.

"Some areas in Serang City experienced flooding. For that, we Ditpolairud Banten Police went directly to evacuate people affected by the flood," said Dirpolairud Banten Police Commissioner Giuseppe Reinhard Gultom.

Gultom explained that in carrying out the evacuation, the Banten Police Ditpolairud used SAR equipment.

Gultom said the evacuation at the Rahayu Residance Housing in Serang City went smoothly and the community was safe.
