CCTV Caught, Middle-aged Woman Steals Bag Belonging To Pastry Business, Rp12 Million Worth Of Money Goes Awry

JAKARTA – A middle-aged woman was caught on CCTV camera while stealing a bag belonging to a pastry entrepreneur on Jalan Raya Bogor, Ciracas District, East Jakarta.

Seen in CCTV video footage, before taking a bag that did not belong to him, the perpetrator had time to observe the victim's face while sleeping in the shop. Not long after, the perpetrator immediately took a bag containing a number of valuables, and cash as much as Rp. 12 million.

Ciracas Police Chief Kompol Jupriono confirmed the theft. Jupriono said the incident occurred on Sunday, February 27, yesterday.

"Our staff has checked the TKP (the crime scene)," Jupriono told reporters, Tuesday, March 1.

Jupriono also said that currently the victim has not made a police report (LP). His party is still waiting for the victim's report, in order to facilitate the investigation process.

Meanwhile, from Andi's confession, a victim of theft, he admitted that he was careless at the time of the incident.

"I'm sleeping, I'm tired, right," Andi told reporters.

Beside Andi, there was actually his daughter who was also sleeping. However, her daughter also did not know that a thief had entered. He and his daughter only realized after wanting to take the money in the bag.

"He (the perpetrator) looked at the cakes first, as if they were buyers. After it was safe, he executed my bag. The bag was placed on the table, put in a black crackle bag. He came out as if after shopping," he said.

As a result of the theft, Andi admitted that he lost Rp12 million in the bag. "The total that the bank wants to deposit is Rp12 million. Previously, Rp35 million was lost. The mode is the same. Plus the same phone, last year," said the victim. .
