JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin is targeting 70 percent of the second dose of vaccination before Lebaran this year.

"If possible, before Lebaran, which is the end of April, we will have finished injecting 2 doses of 70 percent," Budi said in a virtual press conference, Sunday, February 27.

"If the results are good, the Coordinating Minister will allow it, and perhaps we will face this differently compared to previous Eids with the condition that the second dose of vaccination must be accelerated," he said.

Budi said that currently 344 million doses of vaccine have been injected. There are 190 million people who have received the first dose or about 70 percent of Indonesians.

It is known that 143,778,623 people have been vaccinated against the second dose. Meanwhile, 9,809,784 people were vaccinated with the booster.
