Convey Condolences, Jasa Raharja Ensures Compensation For Victims Of Bus Hit By Train In Tulungagung

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Raharja has ensured compensation for victims of accidents involving buses and trains at an unstoppable crossing in Ketanon Village, Tulungagung Regency, East Java. The value is IDR 50 also for the heirs of the victims who died, and a maximum of IDR 20 million for victims who are injured and receive treatment costs through the hospital.

"All the victims of the accident are guaranteed by Jasa Raharja in accordance with the law," said Head of PT Jasa Raharja East Java Main Branch, Hervanka Tri Dianto, quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 28.

His party is concerned and expresses condolences for the incident, as well as praying that the victims who died will have the best place on the side of God Almighty.

"The families left behind are also given patience. For the injured victims, I hope they will recover soon," he said.

Jasa Raharja officers, he said, had visited the accident site and also visited the hospital to collect data on the deceased and those who were undergoing intensive care.

Hervanka explained that all victims were guaranteed by Jasa Raharja according to the law and the implementation of the Government's Basic Protection Program for citizens who had accidents.

Jasa Raharja provides accident compensation to every person who dies, is injured and is permanently disabled due to an accident caused by road traffic transportation equipment on land, sea or air.

"Jasa Raharja is also still registering the heirs of residents who died after collecting data on the identities of each resident who had the accident," he said.

Jasa Raharja, he continued, has joined the Insurance and Guarantee Holding or the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) and is committed to providing the best, easy, fast, precise service as a form of the state being present for traffic accident victims.

Meanwhile, based on data from Jasa Raharja, the accident between the PO Harapan Jaya Tourism Bus and the Dhoho Penataran Train resulted in five deaths and 37 injuries.

One of the eyewitnesses, Imam, who witnessed the accident, said that the bus was hit by a train that was traveling from Tulungagung Station to Kediri.

At that time, according to him, there were actually three buses that departed in groups carrying plastic shop employees in Ketanon Village.

The first bus which was also full of passengers managed to pass safely. However, it was the turn of the second bus, at the same time the Rapih Dhoho train was traveling at a moderate speed.

The bus tried to move quickly. However, because the distance was close, the back of the tour bus was hit by a train locomotive. There was a loud impact that caused the bus body to bounce.

A similar condition was experienced by a train locomotive, causing the front to be crushed and unable to move.
