KPK Explores Agreement On Fees From Private Parties To Langkat Regent Off

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is exploring an agreement to pay a fee to the inactive Langkat Regent Publishing the Warring Angin Plan in the alleged bribery case for infrastructure procurement. The investigation was carried out by examining Muara Warin Angin, which has now been named a suspect as a bribe giver.

"The investigative team confirmed, among other things, the agreement to give some money to the TRP suspect because the suspect MR was won to work on a project at the Langkat Regency Government," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in his statement, Saturday, February 26.

In the process of deepening, investigators actually also scheduled an examination of Muhamad Yusuf Kaban. However, the private sector did not comply with the summons for an inspection without a clear reason.

So, in the near future investigators will reschedule the examination. Muhamad Yusuf Kaban was also asked to cooperate in completing the examination.

"It was obtained information that the person concerned was absent and without confirmation of the reason for his absence. The KPK reminded him to fulfill the summons of the investigation team at the next schedule," said Ali.

For information, the Corruption Eradication Commission has determined Terbit along with four other suspects, namely the Balai Kasih Village Head who is Terbit Plan's brother, Iskandar PA; and three private persons or contractors, namely Marcos Surya Abdi, Shuhandra Citra, and Isfi Syahfitra. Then as the bribe giver is Muara Warin Angin, which is a private party or contractor. In this case, the KPK suspects that Terbit managed the implementation of the infrastructure work project package in Langkat Regency.

In addition, he also ordered his subordinates to actively coordinate with his brother, Iskandar, who was his representative to select the contractors who won the work packages at the PUPR Service and the Education Office.
