South Sumatra OKU Police Satreskrim Shoot Dead Perpetrators Of Robbery And Rape Of Student

JAKARTA - The Satreskrim Polres Ogan Komering Ulu, South Sumatra shot dead SK (28), the perpetrator of a robbery accompanied by the rape of a student at one of the universities in Baturaja that occurred some time ago.

"The perpetrator was arrested on Friday, February 25 in the Metur area, Muara Enim Regency," said Ogan Komering Ulu Police Chief, AKBP Danu Agus Purnomo, in Baturaja, quoted from Antara, Saturday 26 February.

He explained that SK was arrested with his colleague, AG (42) who was also involved in the robbery at the victim's house. However, when he was about to be arrested, SK fought back what was considered dangerous to the officers, so he had to take firm action.

"The suspect tried to fight back by pulling out his firearm so that our members incapacitated him by shooting the suspect to death," he said.

SK is the main actor in the theft and rape cases that occurred on Jalan Pancur in January 2022.

"Two fellow perpetrators, namely AG, who we have secured now, are tasked with finding the target location and selling stolen goods and suspect L (still on the DPO) whose role is not yet known," he said.

"From the results of the arrest, the police confiscated evidence in the form of two laptops and a cell phone belonging to the victim, a crowbar, as well as a homemade firearm along with three rounds of ammunition," he said.
