TANGERANG – Simon (24), a resident of Tangerang Selaran (Tangsel) whose mother reported him for selling a refrigerator, was sentenced to the Tangerang District Court (PN) with a sentence of 3 months in prison.

The verdict trial held by the Tangerang District Court, Thursday, February 24, was chaired by the panel of judges, Edy Toto Purba.

"Imposing a sentence of imprisonment for three months," said Chief Justice Edy Toto, Thursday, February 24.

Realizing his guilt, and receiving sanctions, the defendant Simon accepted the verdict.

"I accept," replied Simon.

After the trial, Simon's attorney, Muhammad Mualimin, accepted the verdict. According to Mualimin, the judges for this trial were fairly fair.

"Thank God the judge was fair enough because it was only a 3 month sentence," he said.

Mualimin said that his client would be released next week. The reason is, based on his client's detention period, he has served almost three months.

“Our client (Simon) has been detained since December 7th. So in about a week or so he can come out because during the trial process he is already in detention,” he said.

For information, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) demanded a sentence of six months to S.

Reportedly, a teenage boy named Simon (24) was reported by his biological mother, LF (45), on charges of selling a used refrigerator at his house.

Simon's attorney, Muhammad Mualimin, said his client sold the refrigerator with his brother initials V, because his mother left him at home.

"Because he hasn't eaten for 3 days and his mother is wandering somewhere, brother V took the initiative to ask Simon to just sell a used refrigerator that is rarely used and is sitting in the house," said Mualimin in an official statement, Friday, January 21.

Mualimin explained that the proceeds from selling the refrigerator were used to buy food. However, LF got angry and reported his son to the police.

"The refrigerator was never filled. It sold five hundred thousand, but it actually led S (Simon) to the iron bars," said Mualimin.
