MEDAN - Aisah, a 62-year-old grandmother in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, was found dead at her home. He is presumed dead after being hit by a chili grinding stone by the perpetrator who is now on the run.

Head of the Langkat Police Public Relations Subdivision, AKP Joko Sumpeno, said the incident was discovered when a resident named Putra heard the sound of a woman's screams allegedly coming from the victim.

"The witness heard screams. Then the witness left the house and went to the source of the sound," said AKP Joko, Thursday, February 24.

Arriving at the victim's house, the witness saw and had time to chase a man who was not wearing a shirt beside the victim's house. It is suspected that the man was the perpetrator of the abuse against Aisah.

"After that, the witness immediately woke up the victim's child named Jafar whose house was right next to him. They then together saw the condition of the victim into his house," he explained.

When at his mother's house, the victim's child was surprised to see the victim already lying on the bed with cuts and bruises. His son thought that his mother was still alive and took him to his house.

"After being examined, it turned out that the victim's life was gone. The victim's body was then taken to the Pertamina Pangkalan Brandan Hospital for an autopsy," he explained.

The victim's child then reported it to the Pangkalan Brandan Police, Langkat Police.

AKP Joko said the perpetrator allegedly took the victim's life by hitting a millstone on the victim's body until the victim died. Because the chili grinder was found on the bed where the victim was found dead.

Police are still looking for the culprit. "It's still being investigated," he said
