Added Number Of Beds, Now BOR For COVID-19 Hospitals In Jakarta Is 55 Percent

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has added the capacity of COVID-19 isolation beds in 140 COVID-19 referral hospitals. Previously, there were 6,697 beds, now it has been increased to 7,002 beds.

In a statement from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the bed occupancy ratio (BOR) for the isolation of the COVID-19 Hospital was 55 percent. Last week, the BOR was 59 percent.

"A total of 3,859 patients are isolated with 7,002 beds," wrote an official statement from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on Instagram dkijakarta, Wednesday, February 23.

Meanwhile, ICU usage in 140 COVID-19 referral hospitals was 46 percent.

"The number of ICU beds is 950 beds, the current total ICU patients are 450 people," he said.

Based on records as of February 22, 2022, there were 5,208 new COVID-19 cases in Jakarta with an accumulation of 1,140,233 cases since the start of the pandemic.

Then, active cases in Jakarta decreased by 3,513 cases, so that currently 61,546 people are still being treated/isolated.

Of the total number of positive cases, a total of 1,064,272 people were declared cured with a cure rate of 93.3 percent, and a total of 14,415 people died with a death rate of 1.3 percent.

The positivity rate or percentage of positive cases in the last week in Jakarta was 16 percent, while the total positivity rate was 12 percent. Meanwhile, WHO sets a standard positivity rate of no more than 5 percent.
