Medan Satpol PP Demolition Of Luxury House Buildings Violating IMB

MEDAN - The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Medan City, North Sumatra demolished a luxury house building due to violation of a building permit (IMB), on Jalan Katelia, Medan Helvetia.

"The owner of the building exceeds the size determined by the IMB, which is 8 meters x 25.3 meters," said the Head of the Supervision and Investigation Section of the Medan City Satpol PP, Irvan Lubis, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 22.

The excess of the building, he said, was built by the owner himself who crossed the front line of the building, so the Medan City Government took firm steps to bring order.

This control was carried out to enforce regulations to comply with the IMB issued by the Medan City Government for a luxury building on Jalan Katelia, East Helvetia Village, Medan Helvetia.

Previously, the Medan City Settlement and Spatial Planning Housing Service had issued three warnings to the owner of the luxury building.

"Warning letters have been given three times to the owner or person in charge of the building. But this warning letter was not heeded," he said.

Before carrying out the enforcement, he said, the officers put a cross on the part of the building that deviated from the IMB to be disciplined with spray paint.

The officers then smashed into the front wall on the third floor of this near-complete luxury house using a large hammer.

"This control is running smoothly. The person in charge of the building can only surrender, and sign a statement that he will adjust the building according to the IMB," said Irvan.
