Pasar Ikan Floodgate In North Jakarta Rises To Alert Two

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has announced that the status of the Pasar Market Floodgate in North Jakarta will be on the second alert with the water level reaching 202 centimeters at 00.00 WIB, Tuesday, February 22.

BPBD DKI Jakarta through the Twitter account @ BPBDJakarta explained that the data on the increase in status was compiled according to information from the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service.

Previously, on Monday, February 21 at 21.00 western Indonesia time, the water level at the Pasar Market Floodgate reached 175 centimeters or the status was on alert.

The water level at the Pasar Market Sluice is considered normal if it is below 165 centimeters.

However, both the DKI SDA Service and the Jakarta BPBD did not provide details that prompted the increase in the water level at the Pasar Market Gate.

It is estimated that the increase in water level is due to the rain that occurred in a number of points in Jakarta and the buffer zones.

BPBD DKI remembers residents who are in nine areas to anticipate the possible impact of the rising water level.

The nine regions are Kemal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing, and Kalibaru.

Regarding the increase in the status of the Pasar Market Floodgate, the DKI Jakarta BPBD has made several efforts, namely the dissemination of information through social media and warning notifications to the sub-district and village heads.
