BATAM - The Batam City COVID-19 Task Force, Riau Islands Province (Kepri) stated that six people died with the positive status of being exposed to the corona virus in a day in the area.

In the COVID-19 Task Force report distributed by Spokesman Azril Apriansyah, he said that with this addition, 10 people died positive for the corona virus in a week.

The Task Force also noted an additional 346 people were confirmed to be exposed to the corona virus on Monday, February 21, and this was the highest during the pandemic.

"Today, the number of positive confirmed cases is 346, bringing the cumulative number to 27,831," Azril said.

It was also recorded that an additional 33 people completed isolation, bringing the total to 25,564 people who recovered. The number of active COVID-19 cases is 1,414 people.

Those who are still active with COVID-19, as many as 128 people are being treated at the Galang Island Hospital, 232 people are undergoing independent isolation, 533 people are in integrated isolation at the Batam Hajj Dormitory, 333 people are still in the evacuation process, and others are being treated at 14 hospitals across the country. city.

"The cure rate is 91.855 percent, the death rate is 3.065 percent, and active cases are 5.080 percent," he said.

It was also noted that COVID-19 had spread to the buffer islands of Batam City. Of the three buffer sub-districts, two of them are the COVID-19 yellow zone, namely Behindpadang and Galang with one person each still active with COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the other buffer sub-district, namely Bulang, is now a green zone.

While on the main island, all of them are in the COVID-19 red zone.

The Task Force report also stated that the results of the COVID-19 situation assessment as of 19 February 2022 were level 3.

Community transmission received a level 3 assessment with confirmed cases of 112.06 per 100 thousand inhabitants per week, hospitalization level 2 with 5.16 per 100 thousand inhabitants per week, and level 1 deaths with 0.25 per 100 thousand inhabitants per week.

Then the response capacity is rated as moderate. In terms of testing, the "positivity rate" was 6.78 percent per week, "tracing" was considered adequate with the ratio of close contacts examined 16.86 per confirmed case per week, and adequate treatment with 25.15 percent BOR per week.
