Ganjar Pranowo Gives IDR 107 Billion Aid To More Than 2,000 Religious Institutions

UNGARAN - The Central Java Provincial Government has again provided grants in the field of religious education in 2022. The total grant funds provided are Rp. 107.1 billion for 2,201 religious education institutions. Starting from Islamic, Christian, Catholic, Hindu and Buddhist religious education institutions in Central Java.

"According to our records, the figure is quite good. So this year it is around Rp. 107.1 billion, this is for 2,201 religious education institutions. Today, the disbursement has begun (for phase I), approximately Rp. 22.1 billion for 405 religious education institutions. ," said Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo after the symbolic handover of the education grant at the PKK Monument Hall, East Ungaran, Semarang Regency, Monday, February 21.

Ganjar explained that the aid or grant was given to encourage and assist religious education. Of course in order to build a more advanced and character education.

"I also entrusted it so that the children are taught character education. So the religion is good, then the relationship between children is good," said Ganjar in his statement.

Such a character, Ganjar continued, will foster a moderate next generation. The story of religious moderation can be started from these schools and will be a good investment for Indonesia's future. Moreover, Indonesia is very diverse and one important thing that is needed is harmony.

"If they can meet various ethnic groups, religions, races, groups and every day they can communicate well, then I think religious moderation is a good investment for the future," said Ganjar.

In addition, Ganjar also continues to encourage the program of providing incentives for religious teachers in Central Java. This program has been running for the last few years and will continue to be done.

"We also entrust all religious teachers, regardless of religion, so that let's give our children religious moderation education so that people who interact everyday are happy and respectful," he said.
