High Jokowi-Ma'ruf Government Satisfaction Survey, PDIP: Important Capital To Strengthen Legitimacy To Run Strategic Programs

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) appreciates the achievement of the Government's performance under the leadership of President Jokowi-KH Ma'ruf Amin. Where, in a survey conducted by Kompas Research and Development, the satisfaction level with the government is 73.9 percent, the highest so far.

"The people appreciate the hard work of all levels of the government," said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in his statement, Monday, February 21.

For PDIP, Hasto continued, the high level of satisfaction in all fields is an important social capital that strengthens the legitimacy of President Jokowi's leadership to be able to carry out his strategic programs at high speed.

Such as overcoming the pandemic, improving people's welfare, encouraging the nation's progress, as well as its efforts to move the State Capital to Kalimantan, as well as ensuring Indonesia's success in the G-20 presidency and the upcoming 2024 elections.

"With high social capital, the PDI-P as the main party that carries the government, continues to encourage all its cadres, both in the legislative ranks from the center to the regions, ministers from the PDI-P to governors, regents, mayors, to all party structural ranks. to be more enthusiastic in doing community work, so that various pandemic problems can be overcome as soon as possible, he explained.

Furthermore, Hasto said, the Indonesian people can move more optimistically in building the future.

"Congratulations to President Jokowi, Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin and also Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Prof Mahfud MD, especially with the surge in appreciation for the political-security performance," said Hasto.

Previously, Kompas Litbang released the results of a survey on the level of public satisfaction with the performance of the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. As a result, 73.9 percent of respondents said they were satisfied.

The survey was conducted on January 17-30, 2022 through face-to-face interviews. The survey involved 1,200 respondents who were randomly selected with stratified systematic sampling in 34 provinces in Indonesia.

The survey's confidence level is 95 percent with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percent under conditions of simple random sampling. Litbang Kompas stated that errors outside of sample sorting were possible.

Based on the survey results seen on Monday, February 21, the level of public satisfaction with the government's performance increased compared to October 2021. In October 2021, the level of public satisfaction was at 66.4 percent.

Meanwhile, in January 2022, the level of public satisfaction was at 73.9 percent. The number of dissatisfied respondents also fell from 33.6 percent in October 2021 to 26.1 percent in January 2022.
