JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police have again named three additional suspects in the case of a beating that killed an elderly person with the initials WH in the Pulogadung area, Cakung, East Jakarta.

"The three suspects are initials DJ, A and HP. DJ was involved because at the time of the incident he was riding with suspect A. DJ honked his horn repeatedly to attract the attention of people around him to join in chasing the victim," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan told reporters, Monday 21 February.

Kombes Zulpan continued, the suspect's initials A played the role of shouting "Sir, stop crashing" by using a body gesture of waving.

Meanwhile, the suspect's initials HP played a role in videotaping and shouting at the thief from the start of the pursuit to the scene of the incident.

"So it was this HP brother who made a video that had gone viral, but the problem was not the video but the provocation to shout the thief," he said.

As a result of their actions, the three suspects were charged with Article 160 of the Criminal Code, which is related to sedition because what they did caused other people to join in the pursuit.

"What they did was incite other people to pursue them together. Even though these three people did not beat at the final crime scene, they were not charged with Article 170 but 160 of the Criminal Code," he said.

Until now, the number of suspects related to the death of an elderly person with the initials WH in Cakung, East Jakarta has reached 9 people.

"Currently, investigators are still conducting investigations," he said.
