JABAR - The West Java Provincial Government received 30 million liters of cooking oil from the Central Government.

West Java Governor M Ridwan Kamil said the 30 million liters of cooking oil would be distributed evenly to all regencies/cities to overcome the scarcity and high prices that were happening in various regions.

"We have dropped 30 million liters from West Java by the Central Government, we are arranging the distribution," said Ridwan Kamil after the operation of the cheap cooking oil market in Cintaratu Village, Parigi, Pangandaran Regency, Antara, Sunday, February 20.

The distribution center for 30 million liters of cooking oil is located in one area representing several regions. For Pangandaran, the distribution center is in Tasikmalaya.

"The distribution center is per region. For Pangandaran the distribution center is in Tasikmalaya. So later if there is anything, it can be resolved through management in Tasikmalaya," said Ridwan Kamil.

His party immediately distributed cooking oil to the public through a number of market operations. Kang Emil, Ridwan Kamil's nickname, added that he would continue to convey the aspirations of the community if there was still a shortage of cooking oil. "We will solve it quickly, my authority is only for market operations," said Kang Emil.

According to him, the scarcity and high price of cooking oil does not only occur in West Java but also in most parts of Indonesia. Kang Emil hopes that the cooking oil problem can be resolved before entering the month of Ramadan.

"This is not only happening in West Java but throughout Indonesia. So this is a national problem. Don't let it be before Lebaran there is a shortage that makes people nervous," he said.

In the operation of the cheap cooking oil market held at the Cintaratu Village Hall, the West Java Industry and Trade Service provided 1,800 liters at a price of Rp. 14 thousand per liter.

Kang Emil ensured that the operation will continue to be carried out with the capacity of cooking oil that will continue to be added.

"Here there are 1,800 liters and we will continue to add them every day in various regions," he said.
