JAKARTA - The DPR RI Plenary Meeting officially ratified the names of the 12 elected members of the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), Friday, February 18.

The names chosen are the results of the fit and proper test held by Commission II of the DPR on Monday, February 14 to Wednesday, February 16.

Commission II of the DPR chose the names of seven KPU commissioners and five Bawaslu members in a closed deliberation held Thursday, February 17, in the early hours of the morning.

In the plenary meeting, Chairman of Commission II of the DPR Ahmad Doli Kurnia submitted a report on the results of the selection of KPU and Bawaslu Commissioner Candidates for the 2022-2027 Period.

Then, DPR Chair Puan Maharani asked for approval from DPR members who were present at the meeting regarding the seven KPU members and five Bawaslu members in the meeting.

Then, the 5 Bawaslu members for the 2022-2027 period include Lolly Suhenty, Puadi, Rahmat Bagja, Totok Hariyono and Herwyn Jefler Hielsa Malonda.

This plenary meeting was chaired directly by the Chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, which was attended by 39 DPR members physically present, 229 people attending virtually and 30 DPR members having permission.

So that the total members who attended today's plenary were 298 people. "According to the records of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI, the list of attendance at the beginning of today's DPR plenary meeting has been signed by 39 physical attendance, 299 virtual, permission of 30 people so that the number present today is 298 people," said Puan.
