The Attorney General's Office Examines Citilink's Managing Director For Allegations Of Garuda's Corruption

JAKARTA - Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) examined PT Citilink Indonesia President Director Juliandra Nurtjahjo as a witness in the investigation into the alleged corruption case in the procurement of PT Garuda Indonesia aircraft in 2011-2021.

"J is being investigated regarding the mechanism for procuring aircraft," said the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the Attorney General's Office, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday, February 18.

On Thursday, February 17th, Juliandra was questioned along with one other witness, with the initials RAR, as Vice President (VP) Corporate Secretary of Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. 2015.

During the examination, Juliandra was still the President Director of PT Citilink Indonesia. The day after the examination, Friday, news circulated regarding Juliandra's removal from the position of president director.

Previously, Tuesday, February 15, investigators from the Jampidsus AGO investigated four former Garuda commissioners, namely Sahala Lumban Goal (SLG) as President Commissioner of PT Garuda Indonesia in 2019, Adi Rahman Adwonso (ARA) as Commissioner of Garuda Indonesia in 2012, Dony Oksaria as Commissioner of Garuda Indonesia in 2014, and Muzaffar Ismail (MI) as North Commissioner of Garuda Indonesia in 2014.

Meanwhile, on Monday, February 14, investigators examined Chairal Tanjung as Commissioner of Garuda Indonesia, Linggasari Suharso as Director of Human Resources (HR) and General Affairs of PT Garuda Indonesia in 2017, and Capten Trianto Moeharsono as VP Operation Planning and Control of PT Garuda Indonesia in 2009. All three examined related to the mechanism of aircraft procurement.

The AGO has raised the status of the alleged corruption case of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to the general investigation stage last Wednesday (19/1). Meanwhile, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin said that the investigation would develop not only related to ATR 72-600, but also about the procurement of Bombardier, Airbus, Boeing, and Rolls Royce.
