JAKARTA - Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19, Wiku Adisasmito, said a number of complaints regarding the use of telemedicine services have been received by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) and are currently under repair.
"In facilitating the accessibility of health services in the community, the Ministry of Health also accepts applications for telemedicine services for positive cases of rapid antigen testing results in addition to PCR test results," said Wiku, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 17.
Responding to a number of obstacles faced by the community in using telemedicine, Wiku said the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) had received a number of complaints submitted by the community and some of them could be handled.
Wiku said that for people who have been confirmed positive, but have not received a short message via the WhatsApp application or confirmation from the official Ministry of Health account, the public must check the Population Identification Number (NIK) on the isoman.kemkes.go.id-guidance page to continue the submission stage.
If the NIK is still not recorded, the public is expected to pay attention to the age of the patient with a confirmed case of COVID-19. This is because the minimum limit for patients who can use telemedicine services is 18 years and has carried out testing at health facilities or referral laboratories of the Ministry of Health in the service target area or isolation area.
Wiku also asked people who had done online consultations and applied for medicine redemption, but had not yet received the medicine, not to worry, because the Ministry of Health continues to improve the system so that all patients can be served comfortably and in the best possible way.
"The Ministry of Health continues to make improvements. Please make sure the address is correct, the telephone number listed is active, so that the courier who delivers it can contact the patient if it is difficult to find the address," he said.
Meanwhile, for people in areas who have received telemedicine services and meet the criteria, but have not received treatment assistance such as vitamins and antivirals, it is expected to immediately report problems to Halo Kemkes on telephone number 1500-567 or order via SMS at number 0812-8156- 2620.
"If there is a worsening of symptoms, immediately contact the local health center through the head of the RT or RW," he said.
Wiku hopes that Indonesia can immediately ramp up the trend of increasing positive cases of COVID-19. This can be realized if all parties protect themselves more strictly from all aspects, such as discipline in implementing health protocols including following vaccinations.
"We can't just rely on one intervention, because the transmission of COVID-19 is getting massive and fast. This effort will also reduce the burden on health facilities and the need for treatment, so that the situation will be more under control,” said Wiku.
