ACEH - Aceh Province has received a quota of 3,000 tons of bulk cooking oil from the central government.

This good news was conveyed by the Head of Medium and Various Industry Development Office of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) Aceh Nila Kanti after attending a limited meeting with the Banda Aceh City Government and other stakeholders regarding the scarcity of cooking oil.

"The latest information is that the quota for Aceh is 3,000 tons and is currently being pursued," said Nila in Banda Aceh, Antara Thursday, February 17.

Of the 3,000 tons, 200 tons of which have been distributed to the public in 23 regencies/cities throughout Aceh. "Obviously 200 tons of oil is not enough, so we are trying to keep the rest so that it can be redistributed as soon as possible," he said.

Currently, said Nila, Head of Aceh's Industry and Trade Office Mohd Tanwier has also left for Medan City to negotiate with the factory, considering that Aceh's cooking oil has been imported from the neighboring province.

Then, he continued, his party also immediately sought the implementation of cheap markets throughout Aceh in mid-March 2022 and sought the availability of cooking oil.

"So, we will think about this problem together, and God willing, cooking oil in Aceh will run as usual next month, and the price will be stable," he said.

Nila said that the scarcity of cooking oil was not only happening in Aceh, but had become a national problem, so we had to think about it together to deal with this problem.

"Tomorrow there will also be a big meeting by all provinces in Indonesia, and we are waiting for the decision from the Minister of Trade (Minister of Trade)," he said.
