So That Cooking Oil Does Not Exceed The Price Of Rp. 14,000/liter In Gresik, The District Government Holds A Market Operation

JAKARTA - The Gresik Regency Government, East Java, through the Office of Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises and Industry and Trade, held a cheap cooking oil market operation, which was Rp. 14,000 per liter at the Bulurejo Village Hall, Benjeng District, in order to suppress market prices.

Head of the Gresik Regency Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises and Industry and Trade Agency, Agus Budiono, said the market operation was to help make it easier for people to buy cooking oil at affordable prices. Including suppressing prices that exceed the highest retail price (HET) that has been set by the government, which is Rp. 14,000 / per liter.

Agus explained that during the operation 24 cartons of cooking oil were provided specifically for the people of Bulurejo Village.

"The public can buy cooking oil at the cheap market today for a maximum of 2 liters per person, with a price per liter of Rp. 14,000," Agus said, Thursday, February 17, quoted from Antara.

Regarding the scarcity of cooking oil, Agus mentioned that although in Gresik Regency there are four cooking oil producing companies, their authority is under the Food Task Force team of East Java Province.

However, Gresik Regency Government officials will continue to communicate, and get 2,800 cartons or as much as 33,600 liters of cooking oil which is distributed evenly through low-cost market activities.

On that occasion, Deputy Regent of Gresik, Aminatun Habibah said the scarcity of cooking oil must be addressed wisely.

From the local government's perspective, he said, they would continue to push for the supply of cooking oil to return to normal.

On the other hand, Aminatun hopes that the community, especially households, reduce the use of cooking oil by processing food by boiling or steaming, while intensive efforts are made to provide cooking oil by the government.

"We are also trying to continue to lobby and communicate with companies and the provincial government so that they can provide allocations for Gresik Regency. We believe that we can minimize the need for oil by processing food other than frying. And this method has a positive effect on our health, " he said.
