JAKARTA - Based on monitoring results from the Banda Aceh City Cooperatives and Trade Cooperatives and Trade Office (Diskopukmdag), the price of cooking oil in traditional markets is still high. And sadly, it's rare.

One of the reasons for the price that is not in accordance with the government's stipulation is because traders are still selling goods purchased before the issuance of the one price policy.

"Traders cannot sell at the price set by the government because they bought with the old capital or the price before the government's set price," said Head of Banda Aceh's Diskopukmdag M Nurdin, in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, February 16, quoted from Antara.

Based on the results of field monitoring, in traditional markets in Banda Aceh such as the Al Mahirah, Seutui and Peuniti markets, the selling price of cooking oil still ranges from Rp. 20,000 to Rp. 22,000 per liter.

Currently at wholesalers, the supply of cooking oil is also empty. Because the distributor directly distributes it to traders,

"Wholesale traders have placed orders or orders for cooking oil, but there is no supply from their distributors," he said.

M Nurdin said that one cooking oil price according to the government's stipulation has only run at modern retailers such as Suzuya Mall, Alfa Mart and Indomaret, namely at a price of Rp. 11,500 per liter for bulk oil.

Then, simple packaged cooking oil is sold at a price of IDR 13,500 per liter, and premium cooking oil for IDR 14 thousand per liter, which includes VAT.

"However, the supply of cooking oil in the modern market is still very limited due to the abnormal supply of goods from distributors," he said.

He said that at first the supply of cooking oil was sufficient, even more people bought it at modern retail with a maximum provision of two liters per person.

However, in recent days the supply of cooking oil in modern retailers and retailers has also started to run out, some of them are even empty.

Regarding the monitoring results that have been carried out, his party has reported to the provincial and central governments, and it is hoped that there will be a solution to this problem.

"We have also reported the results of this monitoring in stages to the Aceh Government and the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, hopefully there will be a solution in the near future," he said.
