MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution supports the Medan Teri Festival which will be held by the People's Struggle Post (Pospera) in Kurnia Village, Medan Belawan.

"Good idea. We have to interpret this plan not just as a ceremonial, but a sustainable 'output'. For that, we will fully support this," said Bobby Nasution in Medan, North Sumatra, Wednesday.

Through the festival, it is hoped that the potential in this coastal area can be explored and recognized so that it provides great benefits for the surrounding community.

Bobby Nasution said the Medan Teri Festival program was in line with the vision and mission of the local government in raising the class for Medan City micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

He hoped that the festival would be filled with MSME trainings, so that people would know how to package and make anchovy as a high-value commodity.

"In addition, we also express our gratitude for Pospera's plan to collaborate in waste management. We support that," said Mayor Bobby.

Head of Medan City Pospera Sri Simanungkalit said his party wanted to convey various programs and activities that would be carried out in the near future.

"We are planning to hold the Medan Anchovy Festival in Belawan. So far, we have seen in the market that anchovy is only wrapped in a makeshift package. In fact, it could be something different," he said.
