PURWOREJO - The Resort Police (Polres) of Purworejo, Central Java, returned Nur Alifah (18) a resident of Wadas Village who was undergoing centralized isolation at Citrowardjojo Hospital, Purworejo Regency, because he had been tested negative for COVID-19.

Purworejo Police Chief AKBP Fahrurozi, said Nur Alifah was one of 64 residents of Wadas Village who were secured by officers during land surveying in Wadas Village on February 8, 2022.

"When the swab test was carried out by the health officer concerned, it was confirmed positive for COVID-19. Then treatment and centralized isolation were carried out at the Citrowardjojo Hospital in Purworejo," he said in a press release in Purworejo, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 16.

After undergoing centralized isolation for a week, he said, the test result in question was declared negative for COVID-19 and then repatriated. The repatriation process was carried out at the Purworejo Police Criminal Investigation Unit Lobby and the person concerned was picked up by the Village Head Wadas Fachri.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy, said that with the return of Nur Alifah, all residents who were detained by officers had been sent back.

"Alhamdulillah, all of them have been returned home in good health, safe, and reunited with their families," he said.
