SOLO - The Solo City Government, Central Java, plans to revamp the arrangement of the Taru Jurug Animal Park (TSTJ) to provide comfort to visitors.

"It looks like the drawing (design) of Jurug will be ready in the next few weeks. Investors have already been obtained," said Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo as reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 16.

Regarding the possibility of adding more rides, Gibran is still reluctant to explain. "What is certain is that everything will be repaired, (the rides) will just wait next week. Completely overhaul," he said.

For TSTJ revitalization investors, he said, they are usually involved in the construction of a zoo. However, he did not want to divulge the company that will be involved as an investor in the Solo zoo.

"Investors are more bona fide, next week they will come to Solo," he said.

Besides TSTJ, another tourism object revitalization project that the Solo City Government will also work on in the near future is the state-owned music recording company Lokananta. In fact, it targets this year's revitalization to be completed.

"This year's Lokananta is complete, it's just repairs," he said.

He hopes that after being revitalized, Lokananta can be used as a performance space for local artists from the City of Solo.

"Yesterday, many artists complained that THR (Sriwedari People's Amusement Park) was closed for artists. Later, there will also be an outdoor performance venue," he said.

However, he said, the revitalization will not be carried out completely because Lokananta is a cultural heritage building.

"Like a recording room, the archive is a cultural heritage. So we are still maintaining it," he said.
