PUPR Ministry Will Build 5,141 Flats This Year

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing or PUPR through the Directorate General of Housing plans to build 5,141 flats or Flats in 2022.

"To achieve the target related to flats for this year is 5,141 units," said Director General of Housing Iwan Suprijanto in a Hearing Meeting with Commission V DPR RI in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 16, quoted from Antara.

Iwan added, from a total of 5,141 flats, approximately 2,973 units or 56 towers are multi-year contracts (MYC) in which the construction of flats in 2021 will continue to 2022. As for the construction of new flats, there are 2,168 units or 97 towers. .

The details of the allocation of 5,141 flats will be allocated to 1,594 units of simple rental flats (Rusunawa) for boarding education institutions.

Then the Rusunawa for universities are 766 units, the Rusunawa are allocated for ASN/TNI/Polri as many as 1,035 units, then Rusunawa for Low-Income Communities (MBR) are allocated as many as 764 units, and Rusunawa for workers are 982 units.

In his presentation, Iwan also said that his party would build 1,823 special housing units or Rusus this year, of which 1,495 Rusus units were allocated for disaster-affected communities.

Then 278 Rusus units are allocated to communities affected by government programs, and 50 Rusus units are allocated to underdeveloped, remote and outer islands.

As for the construction of infrastructure, facilities and utilities for housing for MBR as many as 20,500 units in 2022, with an allocation of 7,525 units on Sulawesi Island, 6,220 units in Java and Bali, 3,280 units in Kalimantan, 1,925 units in Sumatra, 1,050 units in West Nusa Tenggara. and East Nusa Tenggara, as well as 500 units in Papua.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Housing prepared a budget of IDR 5.1 trillion in 2022 in the housing sector in order to improve the quality of housing.

Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono wants people to get decent and quality housing, especially for housing with financial assistance facilities from the government.

A number of housing development programs to be implemented include building special houses, flats, improving the quality of self-help houses belonging to MBR that do not meet livable standards, as well as distributing infrastructure, facilities and utilities (PSU) assistance for MBR houses.
