TANGERANG - The Tangerang Metro Police Chief, Kombes Komarudin, revealed the suspect's motive, AS (25) for killing the victim because he was angry with his wife, PS (22).

Kombes Komarudin explained that the suspect was annoyed with his wife because the victim came home late at night and smelled alcohol.

"So AS (the perpetrator) was angry because his wife had not come home until late at night. Usually, his wife came home at 8 o'clock at night, when she came home at almost 2 o'clock with a condition that her mouth smelled of liquor," said Komarudin when contacted, Tuesday, February 16.

The husband, continued Komarudin, could not contain his emotions, so the alleged perpetrator went dark and eventually strangled the victim in the bathroom of his house.

"There was a fight and the victim had scratched the perpetrator, causing the perpetrator to strangle the victim's neck. He was suffocating in the bathroom," she said.

After the incident, still said Komarudin, the perpetrator was confused and did not leave the house for a full day. Finally, AS decided to leave the house and went to his family who were in Bogor, on Monday, February 14th.

"The perpetrator, he remained in the house, because he felt confused, he was not going anywhere, just Monday, he returned to his parents' house in Bogor, told his family and then told his uncle," said Komarudin.

The perpetrator's uncle, who knew about the incident, immediately took AS to the Tangerang Metro Police.

"His family handed over the perpetrator to us. From there we go to the crime scene (TKP)," he explained.

The incident occurred at the Bugel Mas Indah Housing Complex, Karawaci, Tangerang City, Sunday, February 13, at 02.00 WIB. The victim died about 2-3 days ago. An unpleasant smell wafted out of the house.

“Neighbors do smell. But to our crime scene," he said.

The perpetrator has now been detained by the Tangerang Metro Police. To be investigated by the police.
