Success With MotoGP Pre-season, Minister Sandiaga: Indonesia's Name Will Be More Fragrant In March

JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno emphasized that his party was not complacent after the success of holding a MotoGP pre-season test at Sirkuat Mandalika, Lombok, NTB.

He said, his party will continue to make improvements so that the MotoGP event will benefit the community.

"We don't want to be complacent, we will continue to make improvements, accept all input from all stakeholders. We will make sure the MotoGP event in March can bring Indonesia's name even more fragrant. Cheer up!" said Sandiaga as quoted from his Twitter account seen by the editor, Tuesday, February 15.

Sandiaga said he was grateful that the MotoGP pramunism test in Mandalika was a blessing for NTB tourism.

He assessed that the MotoGP race that was presented to Indonesia was really right on target, right on benefit, and on time.

"Alhamdulillah… Blessings, God willing, for the people of Lombok and its surroundings!. This is proof that the prestigious world event @MotoGP that we present to Indonesia is really right on target, right on time and useful, able to revive the economy and create jobs for the community," said Sandiaga.

During the MotoGP pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit which was held from 11 to 13 February 2022, it turned out that many riders were indirectly promoting tourism in Lombok.

"Alhamdulillah, this pre-season event or MotoGP pre-season test is a blessing. We get free tourism promotion from the riders. They walk in the bubble area and promote the beauty of Mandalika, Lombok," said the Head of the NTB Provincial Tourism Office. H Yusron Hadi, Sunday, February 13th.

He stated that the pre-season test brought various positive impacts for NTB, not only for the tourism sector but also in terms of economic growth.

"This event has a lot of benefits for NTB, including in terms of tourism promotion and economic growth. Moreover, in the future there will definitely be more gates for promotion. So we all have to be prepared," he said.
