MEDAN - An angkot car in Medan City hit an online motorcycle taxi driver, on Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Medan Baru District. This angkot driver is now wanted by the police.

The victim of the collision, Zainal Abidin, 54, a resident of North Binjai Subdistrict, Binjai City, was taken to the hospital by an angkot driver who hit him.

However, after taking the victim to the hospital, the driver couldn't even see the bridge of his nose. The police were aware of the incident and immediately searched for the perpetrators.

The Head of the Medan Baru Police, Kompol Teuku Fathir Mustafa, when confirmed, said that his party already knew the identity of the perpetrator. The police also know where the angkot driver lives.

"For the place of residence and identity, we have known, we have gone to his house in the Helvetia area. But the person in question has not returned to his house. His name is Herbin Hutabarat (50)," said Kompol Fathir confirmed by VOI, Monday, February 14.

Kompol Fathir emphasized that his party will continue to hunt for the angkot driver. However, the angkot owner has communicated with the victim's family.

"But we still oblige to come, we are still looking for him," he said.

Currently, he said, his party had received a report from the victim. From the information he received, the victim has now been released from the hospital.

"There is a report. The condition of the victim, if according to information, he has returned home, he has returned," he said.

Previously suspected of being reckless, a city transportation 64 crashed into an online motorcycle taxi driver on Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Medan Baru District, Thursday, February 10, afternoon.

The incident was caught on camera and went viral after being uploaded. In the video, the victim is seen lying on the ground beside the public transportation that hit him.

Even the victim's motorbike was still under the angkot car.
