Police Say The Family Of The Deceased Buried In The Excavation In Kelapa Dua, Tangerang, Refuses To Carry Out An Autopsy

TANGERANG - Kelapa Dua police chief Kompol Tribuana Roseno said the families of the victims who died because they were buried in excavations in Tangerang Regency refused an autopsy. This makes the police investigation on the spot.

"The family the day after the incident refused to do an autopsy. Then the second because these workers are still in the same village, they are still grieving, all of the victims have brought the victims to their villages until now. So we haven't checked anything yet," Tribuana said when confirmed, Saturday, 12 February.

Tribuana said that his party had not been able to examine the project even the local residents. According to him, first examining the witnesses who were at the TKP then they can examine the excavation project workers.

"There has not been (examined) because they are all still in the village. The red thread is from the source of the fire first. If the victim is not a witness, how are we going to check the others," he said.

Previously, it was reported that Dapa Muhamad (21), a worker for a drinking water company (PAM) excavation project on Jalan Legok, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang, died after being buried under the soil he had dug. Another victim is Nurdin, an excavation worker who only suffered injuries as a result of the incident.

Kelapa Dua police chief, Kompol Tribuana Roseno confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Monday, February 7, at 14.00 WIB.

"Yes, that's right, the victim on behalf of Dafa Muhammad from Garut, died," said Tribuana when contacted, Monday, February 7.

Tribuana explained that the incident began when Dapa, Nurdin and two other colleagues cleared the ground next to the HDPE PDAM pipe which the two PDAM pipes would connect.

"They cleaned the soil of the HDPE PDAM pipe which will be connected between the two PDAM pipes," said Tribuana.

After clearing the pipe, the two workers managed to climb out of the excavation. However, suddenly the soil from the excavation collapsed and finally hit Dapa and Nurdin.

"Nurdin managed to save himself and suffered injuries to his face, shoulders and legs," he explained.
