BANDUNG - Bandung Polrestabes has started to implement an odd-even system at five toll gates which are access to the city of Bandung in order to follow up on the Level 3 Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) policy for Greater Bandung.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Aswin Sipayung through Kasatlantas Polrestabes Bandung AKBP Ariek Indra Sentanu said the odd-even system was applied only every weekend starting from Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"The odd-even locations apply, namely GT (Toll Gate) Pasteur, GT Pasirkoja, GT Kopo, GT Muhammad Toha, and GT Buahbatu," said Ariek at the Bandung Police Station, Bandung City, West Java, Friday, February 11. Especially for Fridays, according to him, the odd-even system will be implemented from 14.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB. Meanwhile, on Saturday and Sunday, according to him, odd-even will be implemented from 07.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB.

"The division of personnel on duty is divided into two shifts for Saturday and Sunday, the first shift is from 07.00 WIB to 14.00 WIB, the second shift is from 14.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB," he said.

For the implementation of the system, the police have prepared a number of equipment, ranging from water barriers, traffic cones, to tents as guard posts.

"In the odd-even implementation, the personnel involved are from the Transportation Service, the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), the TNI, and the National Police," said Ariek.

As an area that is included in the Greater Bandung agglomeration, now the City of Bandung is also implementing a Level 3 PPKM policy to prevent the growth rate of omicron cases.
