JAKARTA - A total of 14 neighborhood units (RT) are now in the COVID-19 red zone status. This means that each of these 14 RTs has more than 5 houses of COVID-19 cases.

The details are 2 RTs in Central Jakarta, 4 RTs in North Jakarta, 6 RTs in West Jakarta, and 2 RTs in South Jakarta.

The number of red zone RTs recorded in the period from January 31 to February 6 increased compared to the previous week. In the period from January 24 to 30, the red zone is only in 2 RT.

"Regarding the red zone, this is a vulnerable zone, there are 14 RTs in the red zone, yes. So, I think this has become our concern," said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria to reporters, Friday, February 11.

Then, Riza revealed that RTs with the status of an orange zone or having COVID-19 cases of 3 to 5 houses also increased. In the previous week, there were 24 RTs in the orange zone status and now the number has increased to 216 RTs.

Then, yellow zone RTs or have COVID-19 cases in 1 to 2 houses currently are 5,490 RTs. This number increased from the previous week as much as 1,686.

Unfortunately, RTs with green zones or without COVID-19 cases are decreasing. The previous week, the green zone RT was 28,770 and currently it is 24,762.

Thus, during one week, there was a decrease in the number of RTs in the green zone by 17.8 percent and an increase in the number of RT in the yellow zone by 15 times.

Riza asked all residents to take the increase in the red, orange and yellow zones in Jakarta as a concern and encouragement to improve compliance with health protocols.

"Therefore, responding to this and the increasing trend, we ask to stay at home except for what is essential. We ask that work can be done at home as much as possible, unless it must be done at work," he said.
