JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD confirmed that all residents of Wadas Village, Purworejo, Central Java who had been detained by the police had been sent home. This was conveyed in response to allegations of violence perpetrated by law enforcement officers who were dispatched to secure land measurements by the National Land Agency (BPN) team. This activity was carried out in an effort to build the Bener Reservoir which is a National Strategic Project. This was conveyed by Mafud in a press conference broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Wednesday (9/2). Watch the full video below.
