JAKARTA - The Director-General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, said that the presence of an innovation in the form of a centralized population administration information system (SIAK) made it easier for people to manage various population administrations (adminduk).

Zudan Arif Fakrulloh said that as the main requirement for digital identity, SIAK is centralized so that administrative services in various regions, including domestic and foreign, can be integrated.

Thus, according to Zudan, the public can take care of administrative documents anywhere and anytime.

Zudan gave the example of a resident who has an ID card in Bekasi, West Java, who received an assignment in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), if the resident gave birth outside the domicile address according to the electronic ID card, then to process the child's birth certificate there is no need to return to Bekasi.

Because, said Zudan, the management can be done online or online through a centralized SIAK system.

“So with a centralized SIAK, we no longer have options for not wanting to. So we can do this now, even though it's not evenly distributed,” he said, Wednesday, February 9.

The dukcapil system has continued to undergo transformation, starting in 1995 with the name of the population information management system (SIMDUK), then changing in 2000 to the population registration information system (SIREP), and finally in 2020 changing again to a centralized SIAK.

"Therefore, this has become a national program, for 2022, friends, you don't need to write letters to ask to become participants in a centralized SIAK, because in 2022, as many as 514 districts/cities we will make a centralized SIAK. This is our first commitment, our first organizational consolidation, this readiness," he said.

He emphasized that adapting the system digitally or online is no longer an option but a necessity.

Moreover, according to him, changes and developments in technology and information systems are growing rapidly following the demands of the times.

Therefore, Zudan said that the Dukcapil service must be adaptive in responding to and responding to the challenges of the community's needs.
