South Sumatra Police Arrest 44 Cross-Provincial Drug Dealers

JAKARTA - During the first week of February 2022, the team from the Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the South Sumatra Police arrested 44 suspected drug dealers on the inter-provincial network in Sumatra, and seven people who used the prohibited items.

The suspects from the disclosure of 45 cases were arrested along with evidence of 16.7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 10 stems and 239 grams of dried marijuana leaves, and 11.5 pills of ecstasy, said Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police Kombes Pol. According to him, by preventing the circulation of evidence of marijuana, ecstasy pills and shabu-shabu which were secured from the suspects, more than 100 thousand children of the nation could be saved from the influence of these prohibited items.

Seeing the high level of disclosure of drug cases, according to the order of the South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Toni Harmanto, all members were asked to work hard to suppress drug trafficking in the province.

"Members are ordered to continue to work hard to eradicate drug trafficking and abuse, as well as ensure that the younger generation is safe from the entanglement of these illicit goods," he said, quoted from Antara.

The Narcotics Directorate of the South Sumatra Police and their ranks continue to try to keep the young generation in the province with 17 districts and cities away from drug entanglements.

To ensure that the younger generation is safe from drug entanglements, his party does not stop taking action.
