PRAYA - Dozens of local transportation drivers who are members of the West Nusa Tenggara Transportation Entrepreneurs Association (APTA) held a demonstration in front of Lombok Airport. The masses protested against the ITDC and MGPA officials who had been considered demeaning local transportation.

"Expel ITDC and MGPA officials who did not involve local transportation drivers in Central Lombok," said Lalu Reza in his speech in Praya, quoted by Antara, Monday, February 7.

According to him, until now there is no local transportation driver involved in the transportation accommodation for pre-season tests and MotoGP events. In fact, all the cars needed to support the MotoGP racing event are complete.

"Until now there is no clarity, all the required vehicles are complete that we have," he said.

"We ask PT Angkasa Pura to cancel the ITDC counter in the airport area," he said.

Amaq Devi said that the local drivers basically still support all the construction and the Mandalika MotoGP event, but he hopes that local drivers will be involved in the transportation accommodation needed for the motorcycle racing event.

"What we want to bring is ready, involve us so we don't become spectators," he said.

If the demands of the drivers are not met, they will stage a bigger action, until their demands are met to be involved in the Mandalika MotoGP transportation accommodation.

"We will continue to shout, until we are involved," he said.

Abdul Mutalib, a resident of Kuta Village, said that many guests would come for the pre-season test and MotoGP event, but until now many local people have not been involved.

"Many local residents who want to sell are even evicted," he said.

Central Lombok Police Deputy Chief Commissioner Ketut Tamiana said that his party had coordinated with the ITDC, but so far there has been no representative willing to provide explanations to the local drivers.

"We will try to bring them together tomorrow to find the best solution," he said.

Meanwhile, Village Head Ketara Lalu Buntaran said the same thing, namely in accordance with the results of coordination with the apparatus, these drivers will be met with the ITDC at the Central Lombok Police.

"We will meet tomorrow," he said.

Until this news was revealed, ITDC and MGPA had not provided an explanation regarding the demands of the local transportation drivers.
