Malaysian Citizen GM PT Sawit Graha Manunggal Dies Of COVID-19 Buried In East Barito

The East Barito COVID-19 Funeral Team buried the body of PT SGM GM, Mohamed bin Maidin (62) Malaysian citizen at the cemetery in Murutuwu Village, Paju Epat District/ANTARA/HO-Satgas COVID-19 Bartim

BARITO TIMUR - Director of the Tamiang Layang Hospital, East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan, Dr. Vinny Safari stated that the PCR results of Malaysian citizen (WN) Mohamed bin Maidin (62) were confirmed positive for COVID-19. Maidin is buried in the local district.

"The funeral according to the COVID-19 health protocol and funeral will be held on Sunday (6/2) night at around 21.30 WIB at the cemetery in Murutuwu Village, Paju Epat District," said Dr Vinny in Tamiang Layang, quoted by Antara, Monday, February 7.

According to him, his party immediately prepared the funeral team after the PCR results were received on Sunday, February 6 at around 20.30 WIB.

In addition, he said, reports were submitted in stages to the East Barito Regency COVID-19 Task Force and had assigned the local Health Service and Telang Siong Health Center to carry out close contact tracing starting today.

"Today, we are again conducting close contact tracing in internal health personnel as an effort to suppress the spread of COVID-19," said Vinny.

His party has not been able to confirm the type of COVID-19 virus that caused the GM of PT Sawit Graha Manunggal to die.

"Later we will coordinate with the COVID-19 Task Force Team for policy making, and will study the PCR results of Mr. M, which we have received," said Vinny.

Previously reported, General Manager of PT Sawit Graha Manunggal (SGM) Mohamed bin Maidin (62) who was a Malaysian citizen died at the Tamiang Layang Hospital, Sunday, February 6 at around 03.35 WIB.

"The patient came to be escorted by PT SGM at around 03.00 WIB and arrived at the emergency room with decreased consciousness, cyanosis, cold feeling, shortness of breath," said Vinny.
