JAKARTA - The DPR has tightened restrictions on physical work meetings. This was done in line with the increase in positive cases of COVID-19 in the DPR.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, emphasized that all members present in the meeting room were required to bring a negative PCR test result. The members will also undergo an antigen swab test provided by the secretariat general (Secretary General) of the DPR.

"Those who attended the meeting besides bringing PCR and also before the meeting underwent an antigen test here," said Dasco at the DPR building, Monday, February 7.

In addition, said Dasco, DPR members are not allowed to be accompanied by expert staff when physically attending meetings.

"We have decided in the rapim (leadership meeting) and bamus (deliberation body) last week that we have activity limits where each activity, both in plenary and commission meetings at AKD, the total attendance rate of all of them is 30 percent. and private staff are not allowed to accompany members," he stressed.

To note, the number of DPR members and employees within the parliament who are exposed to Corona (COVID-19) continues to grow. Corona cases in the DPR have now reached 228 people.

"Today the data entered from our lab is 228 people," said Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar when contacted, Saturday, February 5.

Indra said, of the 228 people, 10 members of the DPR were detected positive for Corona. According to him, some of them are still positive until now.

"Members detected through our lab are 10 people. Those 10 positive people are an update from last week, some have been negative," he said.
