JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya received other information behind the case of the beating that killed Wiyanto Halim's grandfather (89). The information is related to the existence of threats.

"I've heard of being threatened by using a telephone," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Monday, February 7.

The information was obtained from the examination results of the victim's child, Bryana Halim. However, Zulpan stated that so far he did not know in detail about the form of the threat and who carried it out.

The reason is that even the children of Wiyanto Halim did not know about this.

"But when asked by investigators who threatened their children, they said they didn't know who threatened them," said Zulpan.

Then, there was other information about the planned persecution. However, so far no such element has been found.

"All communication tools have been opened, we see that the conversation has been going back several months, no one has ever spoken or planned," said Zulpan. Information about threats and planned actions is not yet strong. Moreover, the statements of the suspects who claimed not to know each other.

Wiyanto Halim was beaten to death by a mob on Jalan Pulo Kambing Raya, Pulogadung Industrial Estate, Sunday, January 23 at around 02.00 WIB.

Wiyanto Halim was shouted at by the thief and chased by the mob until he was beaten to death.
