JAKARTA - The Coalition of Ulama, Habaib, and Anti-Defamation Lawyers (KUHAP APA) reported the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman to the Army Military Police Center (Puspomad). This report departs from the statement of Army Chief of Staff Dudung which states 'God is not an Arab.'

Habib Zein Assegaf alias Habib Kribo defended Army Chief of Staff Dudung. According to him, what KSAD Dudung said was a negative sentence with a series of sentences, 'I pray in Indonesian because my God is not an Arab.' So, said Habib Kriobo, what is wrong with that statement?

It's a different matter if Army Chief of Staff Dudung mentions 'Our God is an Arab.' That statement is problematic.

"These people (Reporting KSAD Dudung) don't pretend to be great, pretending to be Islamic just wearing a cap turban, they feel great, they feel they represent Islam. Habib Kribo then quotes the Qur'an Surah Ibrahim Verse 4 which states, "And We did not send an apostle using the local language," to be understood. This means that God cannot be limited by certain ethnic, linguistic or ethnic groups but is universal and everywhere.

"So Arab and Islam are separated, indeed, if I look at most of the Muslim majority, this is beyond awareness, namely because God is like Arabic, in Arabic style. There are others who say that Arabic is the language of heaven, this has gone astray. Those who limit God are like Arabs, God is limited by your ethnicity," said Habib Kribo.

Habib Kribo then suspected that the report to the KSAD Dudung was only an order from certain parties. The goal is to disrupt the administration of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
