Bali Records The Highest Daily Case Addition Of COVID-19 Since The March 2020 Pandemic

DENPASAR - The Bali Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force, reported the addition of daily COVID-19 cases of 2,038 people and at the same time it was the highest record of daily additional cases, since the first case was discovered in March 2020.

"The highest daily addition of COVID-19 cases was reported in Denpasar City as many as 649 people, followed by Badung Regency as many as 565 people," said Secretary of the Bali Province COVID-19 Task Force, Made Rentin in Denpasar, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 5.

Apart from Denpasar City and Badung Regency, the addition of new cases of COVID-19 was also recorded in seven other regencies in Bali Province.

There is also data on additional COVID-19 cases in seven other regencies, namely Tabanan Regency (242 people), Gianyar Regency (174 people), Buleleng Regency (137 people), and Klungkung Regency (86 people).

Furthermore, in Jembrana Regency (75 people), Karangasem Regency (64 people), and Bangli Regency (46 people).

Rentin, who is also the Executive Head of the Bali Province BPBD, stated that previously in 2021 the record for the highest daily addition of COVID-19 cases on the Island of the Gods was recorded at 1,957 people.

Based on the data from the National Task Force, Bali on Saturday (5/2) was in the fifth place with the highest number of COVID-19 cases after DKI Jakarta (12,774 people), West Java (8,053 people), Banten (4,992 people) and East Java. (2,154 people).

Starting from the beginning of February 2022, the addition of daily cases of COVID-19 in the Province of Bali has increased to more than 700 people per day, namely on February 1 (715 people), February 2 (771 people), February 3 (1,501 people) and February 4. (1,789 people).

"Today it was also reported that 194 people recovered from COVID-19 and 5 people who died," said Rentin.

To anticipate a spike in cases, the Bali Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force together with districts/cities have also prepared as many as 90 centralized isolation places (isoters) with a total capacity of 2,257 beds. As of Friday (4/2), the centralized isolation area has occupied 1,460 beds.
