Farmers In Kediri Declare Muhaimin Iskandar A Presidential Candidate For 2024

JAKARTA - A number of volunteers who are members of the Archipelago Farmers and Farmers' Workers' Front, Kediri Regency, East Java, have declared their support for the General Chair of the National Awakening Party (PKB) DPP Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar (Gus Muhaimin) as the 2024 Presidential Candidate.

The Coordinator of the Archipelago Farmers and Farmers' Workers' Front, Kediri Regency, Abdul Muji, expressed this support based on the results of discussions held by members of this association in Kediri Regency.

"We agree that later Indonesia will be led by people who care and can carry the aspirations of farmers and ranchers, including having a high and revolutionary fighting spirit. The right person to lead Indonesia is Gus Muhaimin," Muji said as reported by Antara, Saturday, February 5.

He views Gus Muhaimin as a wise figure who is expected to be more concerned with his policies in the future.

"We value Gus Muhaimin as a wise national figure who will make small pro-people policies and be able to overcome problems in our area, such as the price of fertilizer, fodder, and unstable harvest prices," he said.

He said Gus Muhaimin's experience was unquestionable from the executive, legislative, international level to the position he currently holds as the Chairman of the PKB DPP.

"Gus Muhaimin is rich in experience from the executive, legislative, to international. He currently serves as Chairman of the DPP of the National Awakening Party and Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives," said Muji.

The declaration of support for the Archipelago Farmers and Farmers' Workers Front of Kediri Regency was carried out in Jegles Cave, Jegles Hamlet, Keling Village, Kepung District, Kediri Regency. The members of the association in the declaration carried banners of support.

Secretary of the DPC PKB Kediri Regency Mundhofir admitted that the declaration was in accordance with the party's mission to carry Gus Muhaimin as a presidential candidate in 2024. Although previously volunteers did not coordinate with the ranks of the PKB DPC, this support was very valuable.

"We don't know about the declaration in Kepung. Even though we didn't coordinate, because the goal and point of view were the same regarding PKB and Gus Muhaimin," he said.

The chairman of the PKB faction of the Kediri Regency DPRD added that the management is currently still concentrating around the sub-districts in the context of structuring cadres. This is in preparation for the 2024 General Election.

Previously, a number of similar supports were also echoed by several sympathizers and volunteers of Gus Muhaimin to run as a presidential candidate for 2024.
